Users need some display of status and other information in the console. It should be attractive (e.g. with colors) and easy to visually parse, such as the output of Maven or Spring.
This could be as simple as turning on the INFO debug level by default and turning on color in Logback.
Note that to be visually pleasing and not overly complicated for users, the thread and logger name information needs to be removed (again see Maven output). Obviously this information would be useful for developers. See if it is easy to programmatically turn on the extra information only if --debug information is turned on. (This code may need to go in the underlying globalmentor-application code.) Otherwise in the future perhaps a --log-file option could be added that would turn on the extra information only if logging to a file is requested.
